Survivor School is a one-day advocacy training and relationship-building event for cancer patients, providers, survivors, advocates and experts looking to become more involved in the HPV-related cancer movement. Participants will connect with other survivors and advocates while working together to change the future of health.

Survivor School is led by cervical cancer survivor and advocate Tamika Felder. She is the founder and Chief Visionary at Cervivor -- a nonprofit dedicated to cervical cancer advocacy, support and empowering women around the world with the tools to share their own cervical cancer stories.

Who:

  • Patients and survivors of HPV-related cancers (including cervical, oropharyngeal, anal, penile, vaginal, and vulvar cancers)
  • Clinicians
  • Social workers
  • Patient navigators

What You’ll Gain:

  • Review essential knowledge about HPV, cervical cancer and cancer prevention
  • Apply training in impactful storytelling so you can share your experiences with confidence and authenticity
  • Identify opportunities for support from others who have been right where you are

  • Identify experts in areas such as media, advocacy, scientific research, health-care, communications, psychology and therapy

  • Discuss the importance of patient and provider relationships

  • Enjoy honest discussion and a safe place to share and connect

CE Hours: NC2 is an approved provider for continuing education contact hours in health education and for continuing nursing education. 6.5 CECH hours and 3 Nursing hours are available by attending.
