Description:
This presentation will provide history and background about the Nebraska Cancer Registry (NCR) and describe the trends of the past decade (2005 through 2014) in cancer incidence and mortality in Nebraska.  Bryan will present combined data for all cancers, share specific details about the four major primary sites (lung, female breast, colorectal, prostate), and discuss other primary sites as well.  He will also share data on cancer survival from NCI’s SEER Program.

Webinar participants will learn:
  • How and where the NCR collects data, and what data it collects;
  • How incidence and mortality rates for all cancers and for cancers of particular sites (e.g., lung, female breast) have changed over the past decade, both in Nebraska and throughout the US, and
  • How cancer survival rates have changed over the past 40 years.
